There are 52 weeks in a year. JP Cooke, Marita Solberg, and their dog Alpental spend all 52 weekends in the mountains. Either skiing or mountain biking, living in a van, the trio faces the challenges accompanying a lifestyle which revolves around the outdoors.
Last January Marita faced a near-death experience, tomahawking more than 1,000 vertical feet in the South back-country of Crystal Mountain. Witnessing Marita’s recovery and comeback first-hand showed me one thing: nobody loves the mountains more than these three.

Our short film project has been a year in the making and will be completed this Spring. I am honored to tell this story and continue to understand why they do what they do.
A lifestyle revolving around the outdoors does not come without challenge. But when pursuing their passions and chasing their dreams, the challenges can be surmounted.
