Episode 7 of the Adventure Creator Podcast features JP Pilapil. JP is a Seattle-based rapper, grad student and future EY accountant. JP shares the story about how he found himself pursuing a career as a rapper, the ups and downs of following your dreams and why he takes his goals so seriously. I came away from our conversation fired up about my own craft and buzzing from the energy JP brought to the room.
I love talking with someone who truly enjoys the process of putting in the time and going through the grind. JP’s work ethic is a big reason why he’s able to live a balanced life and write and produce an entire music album. It’s one thing to talk about going after your goals and it’s another to take the actions necessary to get there.
In every podcast conversation I’ve had (only 7), I can envision the future success and fulfillment of the person sitting across from me. It brings me joy to witness other people starting down a path of pursuing their goals and passions. If I can produce podcasts and films that I’m as proud of as JP if of his music I’ll be on my way to the life I want to live. That being said, it’s really about the journey- so I’ll leave you with this quote: “Remember when you wanted what you currently have?” – via Chase Jarvis
